Are you committed to helping people to live as independently as possible later in life? Could you use your experience and skills to act as a Trustee for a charity supporting older people?
Thorngate Churcher Trust is a community housing charity based in Gosport and is seeking a committed and dynamic individual to join its Board of Trustees to help shape the strategic direction of the organisation, which provides social housing for older people as well as residential care through its care home, Russell Churcher Court. As a Trustee, you will have the opportunity to join a well-respected charity dedicated to providing vital services and support to the community.
We are keen to hear from people with knowledge or experience of marketing, housing development, human resources or IT, and to a lesser extent finance and housing management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic oversight and governance to ensure the charity’s mission is effectively delivered.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of long-term plans.
- Ensure financial stability and risk management processes are robust.
- Support the Chief Executive and senior management in achieving the charity’s goals.
- Uphold the highest standards of governance and compliance, ensuring the charity remains transparent and accountable.
We are looking to hear from people who are passionate about making a positive impact and can bring their experience, skills, and dedication to the governance of our charity. This is a valuable opportunity to contribute to the leadership of a highly regarded charitable organisation, enhance your professional network, and gain valuable governance experience.
This is a voluntary, non-remunerated position, but it offers significant personal and professional rewards. If you’re ready to make a difference and join a forward-thinking Board, we would love to hear from you.
