Thorngate Churcher new homes

We are due to start work in Spring 2024 on a brand new development in Gosport and have plans approved to build 39 new homes in Gosport designed to house those over 50 and of limited means.

The plans are for a development of one bedroom homes to be built on the corner of Grove Road and Sealark Road in Gosport and are designed to meet increasing demand in the town for homes of this kind.

We have a handy FAQ section to help with any questions about the development phase and are now taking applications from those keen to make this their new home.

Work set to start on new homes

Thorngate is set to provide 39 new homes for those over 50 and of limited means on a currently disused site on the corner of Sealark Road and Grove Road.

The first phase of development will see 30 new homes created and ready for occupation in 2025.

Thorngate chief executive Anne Taylor said the charity was committed to providing quality new homes and this development would help meet rising demand from people looking for low-cost community housing in the borough.

The charity already operates 124 assisted living flats in Gosport and Anne says these new homes will provide the opportunity for people to live independently but with the benefit of warden support, communal facilities, and landscaped grounds.

As a charity we have been providing homes for those in need in Gosport since 1865 and the new development means we will be able to provide even more.
