Thorngate Churcher Trust has a voluntary Board of Trustees chaired by Mark Hook. The Trust’s full-time management team is headed by Anne Taylor.

Trustees play an important role in the running of Thorngate. They set and confirm the future strategic direction of the trust and ensure that we continue to move forward in a vibrant way in keeping both with our charitable mission and the ever-changing regulatory regime.

Anne Taylor FCCA
Chief Executive Officer
Anne oversees the operation of the Trust, its strategic direction, digital innovation and finances. A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Anne also sits on the boards of Wayfarer Consortium and Almshouse Consortium Ltd, development vehicles for housing charities and she chairs the National Care Forum’s Digital Transformation Group. Anne is also a Leadership Fellow at St George’s House Windsor Castle and sits on two other charitable boards.
Adam Davies FCCA
Finance Manager
Adam manages the financial transactions of the Trust, particularly those concerning purchasing for the care home and resident finances. He also works on capital project assessment including procurement and IT resources. Adam is lead finance liaison with Hampshire County Council, Gosport Borough Council and local CCGs.
Fiona Taylor
Care Home Manager
Fiona is the registered care home manager at Russell Churcher Court in Gosport.
She has a background in nursing having worked as a staff nurse for seven years and her previous roles also include care manager in a residential care home in Gosport.
Jill Francis
Housing and Support Manager
Jill Francis manages the sheltered housing schemes, wardens and residents’ application process. Jill’s sector expertise includes experience as a Registered CQC Service Manager and manager of mental health residential and learning disability independent living teams. Jill is qualified to Level 5 in Health and Social Care.
Murat Canbek
Property Services Manager
Murat joined Thorngate in 2023 and has quickly become an important member of the management team.Murat, who lives in Lee-on-the-Solent, is an experienced property manager and has a background in senior living and project management.
